Energy Musings.  Here. Now.

This Weekend.  Activity, movement, commitments, obligations are highlighted this weekend.  There are things to do,  places to go, people to see.  It may be challenging to find that time to “catch your breath”.  Allow the influx of active energy to fuel, feed and excite you rather than drain, exhaust or frustrate you.

What is it that you need to do to maintain this balanced perspective amidst this heavily active weekend?  Meditate?  Rest?  Create?  Smile?  Breathe Deep?  Laugh about it?  Consult a good friend?  Read a book? Drink more coffee? Drink less coffee?

If you feel yourself getting caught up in any form of anxiety, remember to pause.  In that moment, can you notice what is happening on a cellular level and gently, lovingly shift it?  Its OK if you can’t.  Just the ability to pause may be enough.

This weekend celebrate the abundance of life and opportunity all around you.  It is a gift for you.  And remember to pause.

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

TODAY> This ground you walk on is sacred.  Each step a personal, intimate meeting with the Divine.  Walking this earth is a constant flux ….a movement towards and away from what is sacred.  In that push and pull, that in and out, that meeting and departing of foot to ground repeated…..we weave peace.  Can you see the pattern?  Of footsteps created by all regardless of size, length, quality?  This tapestry we weave together. Contained within each rise and fall of each leg is the living of a sacred life, the planting of sacred seeds.

As you walk today, bring new awareness into your mindful step.  Awareness of the sacred.  Lift one foot up and feel the pull that moves your foot back down into the earth again. As you plant that foot, feel the meeting, the juncture, where the above and below come together.  As you lift again, feel the space between your foot and the earth. Become aware of it. Each step then is a pumping of this sacred energy. Some call it chi, some prana, some life force, some gravity, some energy….. whatever name you have for this force (THE force!!! ;-)) Connect to its sacredness today.  From this awareness, fill yourself.  Fill yourself with the Sacred that exists everywhere if only we pay attention.

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

TODAY>  Dust off the cobwebs of your mind and get yourself Clear about something that you have been avoiding, forgetting or not noticing.  If you don’t know what this is, look for it today.  Pay attention to your calendar, long lost emails, notes to yourself, your to do list.  When you find it, you will know.

There will be the sense of “OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh…..THAT!” 😉

With a big big BIG breath, blow it away.  Leave the guilt, shame, blame, embarrassment, behind and move forward with grace and ease.  Notice how good it feels to be back on track.  Moving forward, pay a bit more attention to the details of your life.  Its important to keep everything in perspective and be awakened gently, kindly in ALL areas.

And then…. to Celebrate!

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

Today.  The world is magic.  Transformed around you into a new landscape. Almost unrecognizable.  It calls for you to see, feel and understand your innate powers of transformation and shifting.

Imagine the clothes you wear, your skins, how they define and change you.  The legends and myths of shapeshifting creatures helps us to see the potential to adapt and relate to different environments, places, people, situations.  Which mythological shapeshifter whisper to you today?  There is a message for you here.

How well do you adapt?  How easily can you then come back to your core, your true form? As you breathe in, you return home, to your Self.  Take it all in as you return with your breath.

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

Today.  Pay attention to the people closest to you in your life.  Their moods, their smiles, their frowns, their laughter, their tears.  For some time today, make everything else secondary.  Emails, phone calls, dishes, shoveling, laundry, work, meditation…. all of it can wait.  As you focus on the subtle details of the people around you… your children, your spouse or partner, your pets (yes, they count!), see what they are reflecting for you.

Make these intimate relationships your priority today.  How long can you focus here?  How long can you let everything else go?  What is truly urgent that you must attend to otherwise?  Is there a way to do THAT while not losing your focus on the relationships that support you?  Shutting off the mind chatter will help clear the space for this to occur.

Ask those around you “what do you need from me today”?  As you clear the space to access these answers, your own path will be cleared as well.  As you nourish these precious ones, your own soul will be nourished as well.  It is not just about doing for others, rather, it is seeing how others reflect what it is that needs to be done for yourself.  In the awakening of this deep understanding, we learn the true gift of paying attention.

Ommmmm.

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

TODAY.  This Weekend.  Be ready for the Wolf Moon.  Howling through the night sky, beckoning through the day.  How interesting that the first full moon in January is sometimes called the Snow Moon as well.  And the Old Moon.  Consider all these meanings. They overlap and intertwine in interesting ways.

This first full Moon of January asks you to call out to the sky.  To the night.  To the day.  Call for what you need most.  For what you have always been wanting.  Ask yourself:  What is it that I most desire?  Then ask:  Is that REALLY it?  What is behind the first layer of wanting?  And what is behind that layer?  And the next… and the next.  Come to the most basic, the common denominator, the one thing that represents your truest wish.  Ask for that.  Call for it.  Howl for it.  Dance for it.  Sing for it.  Paint for it.  Bring it in through all your senses.  It might have to get loud and  rowdy. It  might have to be soft and gentle. Only you know.  And ask the Wolf for guidance.  Invite him in to show you the way if you feel lost, confused, overwhelmed.  Be ready to accept whatever it is he has to show you.

This first full Moon of January, many are preparing.  Food, water, necessities.  What inner necessities are calling to be cared for, to be noticed, to be acknowledged?

Energy Musings.  Here.  Now.

TODAY.  Ground.  Find your solid, stable place and anchor in here.  Do not make any decisions, moves, or changes until you know you are really really REALLY grounded.  Do not allow distraction in the form of fear, worry, anxiety, excitement, business or monkey-mind to sway you from your solid grounded place.

Focus.  Focus.  Focus down into the earth through the soles of your feet.  Focus out the tips of your fingers.  Some people have to ground through the crown of their head.  Whatever works for you to feel calm and stable, do it today.  Maintain this grounded awareness as you move through your day with discernment.  Be extra mindful of your internal state and its influence on your external environment.  Headaches are common today from the external pressures around us all.  If you can stay grounded, your headache will dissolve.

AS you ground yourself, breathe into this place. Remember it.  Feel it.  Be it.

Word of the day:  Ground

Prayer of the day:  May the soles of my feet meet the Earth with awareness. May I walk through this day with mindfulness and ease.  Solid and secure in my being, on this planet, in this place, at this time.

Song of the day:  Native American Grounding Song.
