Energy Musings. Here. Now.

The Weekend Report.

Your Authentic self shines behind the clouded sky.  A blanket of grey, like a dusty lens, covers the clarity you seek.  Its only a matter of cleaning a small place to see through, a before you can get a glimpse of the work of your soul.  But when we clear off just one small spot in the midst of  a large dusty surface, it can quickly become consumed again.

This weekend, find a moment to cleanse an area of  your awareness.  There are many ways to do this:  meditation, coaching, yoga, QiGong, art.  You might choose where you go and what you do to “clear your mind”.  From that “clear mind” place, pay attention to what you notice.  This is but a partial view what and who you really are.  And an important starting point.

The question is:  will you remember it the next day? And the day after?   or rather:  HOW will you remember it the next day?  And the day after?!

This is a place for you to be creative and playful.  Write it in a journal, compose a song, make a picture, call your best friend, put sticky notes on your computer.  Find something you do every day anyhow, and add a reminder to the activity.  For example:  I light a candle each evening before going to bed. If I put a beautiful note right next to my candle with my insights, I will see and read it every night.  Then remembering becomes part of my evening ritual.

Eventually, you will be ready to clear more of the lens, take a bigger look: see more, be more.    For now, start with a peek, and let it in.

Energy Musings. Here. Now.

Today!

The last full week of September brings some resolution to what has been a month of  change and adjustment.  As pieces being to fall into place for this season, notice where they have landed.  Notice what you were expecting and how things have turned out differently.   Without judgement or even analysis, just notice.

In this space of noticing the shifts that have naturally, rhythmically occurred, pay attention to you mis-placed attention.  Where were you “trying too hard”, forcing an issue or agenda?  Now, gently come in to a more unified alignment with your life, your work, your family, your relationships, your SELF.  To do this takes a bit of detached reflection and a lot of coming in to the present moment with acceptance and gratitude.

Make the time for this acknowledgement this week in some form.  A prayer?  A moment of silence?  A ceremony?  An outing?  A retreat?  It can be big or small, take hours or minutes.  It can be with a group or by yourself.  You get to decide the form it takes. This acknowledgement will help pave the way for the rooting that will be taking place over the next few months.

This is not a time to push stubbornly for something you think you “should” be doing .  Rather, its a time to appreciate what IS.  Take a deep breath, and let it go.  Remembering, theres a time and place for everything.

Energy Musings.  Here. Now.

Today!

Take Care of You today.  With the work of the season, of this beginning period, it is all too easy to have self care slip through cracks slowly or fall to the bottom of the chasm in an instant!  When you take the time out to notice JUST WHAT YOU NEED, you can put a stop to that slippery slope and reclaim your health and well being fairly quickly.

Notice where you might be off today.  Tired?  Achy?  Sore throat?  And then sit with those sensations to see what it is you need.  Maybe this is a long known pattern attributed to allergies and you know exactly the remedy that will work but just haven’t bothered to take it or purchase it yet?  Maybe its something new that you are feel too tired to deal with? Whatever the case, some fresh air and sunshine, a moment or two of silence, and a quick check in with your breath, will help guide you in the right direction for healing.

Areas that are under a lot of pressure today and this week include the middle back (particularly left side) and deep in the pelvis.  This is also manifesting in the throat with dryness and hoarsness.

Movement that rotates or gently twists the body in yoga or dance (or Tai Chi~) helps release the middle blockage.  Allowing that movement its natural access up the spine through the throat and down the body through the pelvis will help release the upper and lower blockages.

Access your own healing knowledge and take care of yourself today for a wonderful week ahead!

Energy Musings.  Here. Now.

This Weekend.

Limits.  Know Yours.  Honor your personal space.  Set your boundaries.  Knowing your limits requires knowing yourself.  Honoring your boundaries requires loving yourself.  To know and love yourself is to take care of yourself.

This weekend, pay attention to where you may be pushing yourself too much, too hard and practice self love instead.  Take the time you need to replenish, rest or just take a time out.  Paying attention to these needs will go a long way toward personal preventative medicine.

Dis=ease, in all its forms,  comes about often when we have neglected to pay attention to our selves, our bodies, our emotions or our basic needs.  We live in a time when it seems to be “normal” to ignore these warning signs in our bodies and personal lives and just “plow through”.  Eventually, we become sick, tired, depressed, run down ,stressed out, anxious, depleted.  Somehow, we accept this ias a part of the process.

BUT IT DEOSNT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.

We can maintain our life force, our focus, our clarity, our health, our mood…. if we only pay more attention to our limits and honor them.  Lets support each other in honoring our limits so that we don’t individually and collectively crash & burn.

Energy Musings.  Here. Now.

Today!

Hump Day Deliverance 😉

Balance.  Its whats required right now in the world, in the neighborhoods, in your family, in your Self.  By “balance” I am not referring only to the ability to stand strong in stillness with resilience.  Balance will mean  something different for each one of us, in each situation.  Think of Vrksasana, the Tree Pose, with its strong rooted trunk , anchored roots and reaching branches.  Firm, solid and aligned at its core.  This is core strength and one form of ‘balance’.  Now think of a bellydancer 😉 , undulating fluidly through space, with grace, ease and strength.  Not rooted in one place, but expertly flowing around obstacles.  This is another form of ‘balance’.  One is like the Earth.  The other is like Water.  Both contain within them a key element of ‘balance’.

The question is:  what is required of you at this time to come into balance in Your being?  in this situation? Do you need more fluidity and flexibility?  Like Water?  Do you need more solidity and grounding?  Like Earth?  Or something else instead?  Whenever you consider what is needed…. think of its ‘opposite’ as well and be sure to include that.

In this way, we see balance not as a fixed state of being or even as a clearly definable one. But as a continuously shifting state that requires us to be fully present, aware and receptive at ALL times.  Coming into YOUR true state of balance in every moment means knowing how to respond with grace, strength, ease and  alignment.

Be mindful of those trigger points, the places of constriction.  No matter how “firmly rooted” you feel in these beliefs, if they come from a triggered place, there will be no balance there for you.  Breathe into the restriction and find the balance instead.

Savor this Life: Its searching beginnings.  Its awakening progression.  Wherever it leads.

Just Savor this.
